A visit to Balsam Lake is always a good idea. Balsam Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Balsam Lake is right by the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail, and why not camp at Wolf Creek Overlook while you're here at Balsam Lake. At Balsam Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's

Charley Creek is a lovely stream that is worth taking a look at; lots of people from Brevard come here. You might want to pay a visit to Cathey Gap while you're here at Balsam Lake, and Horseshoe Rock is an interesting thing to catch a glimpse of since you're here. A large amount of rainfall falls at Balsam Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is the month | |

These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Pounding Branch Campground is a great place to camp, and not far from Balsam Lake
you'll hit upon T Fields Lake which is a scenic lake. Yeah, come here to Balsam Lake for a pleasant time. You truly must have a thing about the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Art Loeb Trail, and paddling
on Courthouse Creek is so much fun.
Take a hike on the Foothills Trail, and float down the rapids of Pigeon River - West Fork in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Sapphire Valley Resort is a magnificent
place to spend a night or two; you can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Cataloochee. So much cool stuff to do here at Balsam Lake, too splendid to be true. At Balsam Lake you can observe Bryson Knob, and if you need a place to stay The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa is a great choice.
