If you like lakes and you're in this part of North Carolina you can check out Bakers Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Cape Fear, and hiking along the Group Camp Trail is brilliant fun. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Bakers Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's.
