Badin Lake

This lake is a beautiful 8 square mile lake having a shoreline of 115 miles.

Badin Dam is a picturesque place in close proximity to Badin Lake, and there are magnificent places to look at along the Uwharrie Jeep Trail. In case you're seeking a class I-II whitewater part to kayak, you're in luck; the Route 1301 to Morrow Mountain State Park portion is a splendid 17.2-mile-from-start-to-finish piece of Uwharrie River. Whitewater paddlers on this part
of Uwharrie River don’t need lots of familiarity in whitewater rafting or kayaking. Of course, whitewater rafting or kayaking is exciting but hazardous; check the latest conditions in advance of a trip.
