The high level of rain makes Babcock Lake a rather wet location; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and November meanwhile is the driest month. Camping at Jomeokee Campground is always a great experience; if you need a site to stay Quality Inn University is a brilliant choice. For the period of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Babcock Lake. Summer overnight lows dip down to       the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Babcock Lake through the winter ordinarily fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course near Babcock Lake is Grandview Golf Club; do take a hike on the Hanging Rock Trail. Babcock Lake Dam is not far at all from Babcock Lake, and Crystal Lake is a delightful lake nearby. So much fun stuff to do here at Babcock Lake, too delightful to be true. There's some flowing water close by, Grassy Creek is a stream you can go to while here; paddling on Dan River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Tanglewood Family Resort is a nice spot to do that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Cooks Wall Trail.
