This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Camp Ridgecrest Lake is close by, and the skiing at Ski Beech is brilliant. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a good time. Comfort Inn Black Mountain is a great location to get some rest, and do set aside some time for Fortune Field while you're here at Assembly Lake. If you're here, you might as well       go to Buck Gap; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Curtis Creek. If the weather is great here at Assembly Lake, you can go for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail, and of course, all our national parks are magnificent spots to visit and Blue Ridge Parkway is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Assembly Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, K O A Kampgrounds is a glorious local campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet,                  you can always go whitewater paddling on Rocky Broad River. Wolf Laurel is a pleasant local ski area; Black Mountain Reservoir is a magnificent lake close by. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. The warmest time of the year at Assembly Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Assembly Lake are in the 20's. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Assembly Lake is excellent! Barn Branch is a nice local stream; if you came to camp Sycamore Flats Family Campground is a nice spot to do that. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Black Mountain/Asheville is a nice choice, and right next door to Assembly Lake you stumble on a golf course called Black Mountain Town Golf Course. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. Camp Ridgecrest Dam is a spot that is close to Assembly Lake, and if the weather is wonderful, you get a great sight of Evans Knob from Assembly Lake.
