Comfort Inn Reidsville is a wonderful place to get some rest, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Reedy Fork Creek. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. There's so much to do here at Ames Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Greensboro Campground is a great location for that. High temperatures at Ames Lake through the summertime are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures       are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Ames Lake plunge into the 20's. Why not stop by Ames Lake Dam if you're here, and golf can be played at Crooked Tree Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Summit Conference center, and a fine close by hotel is Days Inn Of Reidsville. The high level of rainfall makes Ames Lake a reasonably wet place; July is when you get                  the most rain here, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
