Hidden Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; you can go for a hike on the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Cullasaja River,       and perfect skiing awaits you at Scaly Mountain. Allison Lake is a wet site that gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are tremendous locations to explore along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and Whiteside Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check out.
