Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range. Go for a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail; camping is available at Soda Butte Campground. At Lake of the Woods during the summertime       months highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Lake of the Woods overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Thunderer Cutoff Trail is always a fine adventure, and Aufwuchs Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Any time is a brilliant time at Lake of the Woods if you go                  for the outdoors. There's whitewater on Boulder River for all you thrill seekers, and do explore Wildcat Lakes, it's a pretty lake. Here at Lake of the Woods you can catch a sight of Timberline Mountain; why not camp at Colter Campground if you're here at Lake of the Woods. Lake of the Woods is pretty dry mostly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
