So many enjoyable things in the vicinity of Lake of the Woods, just striking. Timberline Mountain is clearly visible from Lake of the Woods, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. Lake of the Woods gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Absaroka Range.
