Woods Lake is not far at all from Kalispell, and you should explore Brush Bay when you're here. Near Woods Lake you stumble on the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail which is a great hiking trail, and a pretty lake like Dollar Lake is a good site to have a look at. A golf course close to Woods Lake is Whitefish Lake Golf Club, and the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. During the warm days of summer highs here at Woods Lake reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Woods Lake tend to be in the 10's. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do near Woods Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Woods Lake is Flathead River - Middle Fork.
