If you need a place to stay Lodge at Whitefish Lake is a good choice, and going for a hike on the Numa Ridge Lookout Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Dry warm beds await you at Kandahar Lodge, and camping is available at Logging Creek Campground. Lakes? Sure, Mud Lake is in close proximity, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Big Mountain. It is very dehydrated here at Winona Lake mostly; December is the month that gets the most snow, and April is when it's the driest.
