The top of Landowner Mountain is easily made out from Windfall Lake; if you came to camp Clearwater Crossing Campground is a glorious place to do that. Throughout the warm months highs here at Windfall Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Windfall Lake temperatures       drop to the 10's. Not much precipitation falls here at Windfall Lake; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Trout Creek Stock Driveway, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Don't leave Windfall Lake without first going for a hike along the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway, and whitewater paddling                  is great on Clark Fork. And that's not all you can do here at Windfall Lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Bitterroot Range is excellent! Landowner Creek is a stream that you may run into while you're here. There's so much to do here at Windfall Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trout Creek Campground is a perfect place for that.
