Do pay a visit to Glacier National Park while you're here at Wildcat Lake, and going for a hike on the Tongue Mountain Trail is always a great adventure. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Wildcat Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wildcat       Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Glacier Mountain Lodge is a fine location to get some rest, and from Wildcat Lake you acquire a glorious sight of Tongue Mountain. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swan River; obviously, this is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes, Strawberry Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Stay the night at Lid Creek Campground, and lots of                  people from Kalispell come here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Wildcat Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lost Johnny Campground; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Noisy Creek Notch Trail. Just can't get enough of the Lewis Range. Flathead River - Middle Fork has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls is a fine choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. Wildcat Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
