The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the North Crandall Trail; Wiedy Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Chief Joseph Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. At Wiedy Lake all through the summer months highs are in the       70's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 30's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 20's, and night lows at Wiedy Lake through the winter typically fall into the 0's. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Wiedy Lake. Lakes? Sure, Marsh Lake is in the vicinity, and there's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone for all you thrill seekers. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Absaroka                  Range. Swamp Lake is a tremendous lake next to Wiedy Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Republic Trail. The Pilot Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Rosebud Creek - West. The yearly rain here at Wiedy Lake is about average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. All year is a great time in the Absaroka Range if you like the outdoors.
