If you are in Jefferson county it's always a good idea to stop by Whitetail Reservoir. Whitetail Reservoir is a location with many visitors from Butte-Silver Bow. Stay the night at Elk Park Campground; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Butte (Parkside), Mt is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. Whitetail Reservoir is pretty arid generally; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February.

A visit to Upper Whitetail Park revitalizes the spirit, and Whitetail Reservoir is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Delmoe Campground is a good spot to camp nearby.
