Whitefish Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Take a hike on the Micho Trail; Hell Roaring Basin is a nice site to check out. Whitefish Lake is right by the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Kandahar Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Big Mountain is a delightful local ski area, and paddling on Stillwater River is so much fun. From Whitefish Lake you obtain a delightful view of Lion Mountain; if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Whitefish Lake Golf Club. Summer at Whitefish Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight
lows in the 10's for Whitefish Lake. The slopes of Blacktail Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and whitewater paddling is great on Flathead River - Middle Fork. Whitefish Lake is frequently a relatively dried up place; most
of the rain falls through June while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Bay is in close proximity to Whitefish Lake and is a wonderful site to check out, and you can
have a splendid hiking adventure along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail. Les Mason Campground is a great local campground, and if you need a location to stay Grouse Mountain Lodge is a delightful choice.
