And that's not all the things you can do here in the Lewis Range. On a magnificent day at Lake West you can take a hike along the South Boundary Trail, and a round of golf at nearby Glacier View Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time. High temperatures at Lake West through the summer months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the       20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lake West temperatures plunge to the 0's. Not much precipitation falls here at Lake West; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is April. If you came for an overnight stay Sundance RV Park and Campground is a delightful site to camp. At Lake West you always meet someone from Kalispell; there are other places here than Lake West, for example Mud Lake. So                  much fun stuff in the Lewis Range, just mind-boggling. If you need a site to stay Bad Rock B&B is a good choice, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Columbia Mountain Trail. Lake West is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. Swanberg Mountain is clearly visible from Lake West; the Howe Lake Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle Fork for all you thrill seekers; dry warm beds await you at Glacier Park Super 8 Motel. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake West. You can run the rapids of Flathead River - Middle Fork near Lake West, and Lake Five is a good lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
