This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Canyon Creek Campground is always a wonderful experience, and the top of Mount Alverson is easily observed from Waukena Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff close to Waukena Lake. Waukena Lake is located in the Pioneer Mountains. Throughout the summertime here at Waukena Lake, high temperatures generally reach the       70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 30's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Waukena Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. A good nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Dillon, and hiking along the Rhubarb Patch Trail is magnificent fun. Waukena Lake Dam is worth a visit if you're here, and Waukena Lake is right by the Driveway Trail. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come                  on up to the Pioneer Mountains. A tremendous site to camp here at Waukena Lake is Dinner Station Campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the Gold Creek Trail.
