Be careful coming to Waukena Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Waukena Lake Dam is not far at all from Waukena Lake, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Rhubarb Patch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can make out Mount Alverson from Waukena Lake, and a picturesque lake like Waukena Lake is a good place to take a look at. If you want a brilliant time in the       great outdoors just come on up to the Pioneer Mountains. Going for a hike along the Driveway Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Waukena Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Canyon Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Gold Creek Trail, and do stop at Tahepia Lake, it's a wonderful lake. Waukena Lake is a location that is pretty waterless generally; during the month                  of June you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Pioneer Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Dillon; a great spot to camp here at Waukena Lake is Dinner Station Campground. At Waukena Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 30's.
