If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Wales Creek Reservoir Dam; if you come at the right time of year, Blackfoot River offers some delightful whitewater. If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be. Deer Gulch is a splendid place to check out close by, and hiking along the McCabe Lake Creek Trail is tremendous       fun. A good close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a magnificent little spree to Frazier Creek, and Wales Creek Reservoir is right by the Dunham Lodgepole Trail. At Wales Creek Reservoir through the summertime highs are in the 80's; the night is fairly colder of course, generally in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Wales Creek Reservoir                  temperatures plunge to the 0's. Wales Creek Reservoir is a location that is pretty dry commonly; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is when it's the driest. There's so much to do here at Wales Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Monture Creek Campground is a wonderful location for that, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Blackfoot River - North Fork.
