There's nice hiking along the McCabe Lake Creek Trail, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Blackfoot River - North Fork. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blackfoot River, and the Monture Haun Trail offers hiking at its best. Just can't get enough of Wales Creek Reservoir. Wales Creek Reservoir Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and       Wales Creek Reservoir is a tremendous spot to camp, Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a tremendous spot. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Wales Creek Reservoir is brilliant fun, Monture Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground; don't leave Wales Creek Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Dunham Lodgepole Trail. Deer Gulch is a great location to pop by next to Wales Creek Reservoir; since you're here, you could go to Frazier                  Creek. Through the long summer days at Wales Creek Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Wales Creek Reservoir descend into the 0's.
