Montana has many beautiful lakes and Vernon Lake is one of them. The warmest time of the year at Vernon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 30's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Vernon Lake. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Absaroka Range rules! | | think that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. Do pop by Reed Lake close to Vernon Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone.

the Pilot Creek Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. While you're here at Vernon Lake, you could also check out scenic Boulder Lakes; nearby you discover the Crazy Lakes Trail which is a perfect hiking trail.
Vernon Lake is
a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Be careful coming to Vernon Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Vernon Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Chief Joseph Campground is a great place to camp nearby;
Fox Creek is next to Vernon Lake and is always a pleasure to stop at. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a great choice, and there's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River for all you adrenaline people.
