Why not camp at Boulder Campground since you're here at Vera Lake, and fine hiking is available along the Gold Creek Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Pioneer Mountains. That right there is plenty of fun things already but it goes on, the Pioneer Mountains has it all. The top of Barbour Hill is easily seen from Vera Lake; a delightful place to camp here at Vera Lake is Canyon       Creek Campground. The Driveway Trail offers hiking at its best, and while you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Canyon Lake. Just can't get enough of Vera Lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Dillon is a great location to spend a night or two. Through the months of summer at Vera Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the                  20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Vera Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the Stine Creek Trail, and getting to Lion Creek from Vera Lake is uncomplicated.
