This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Sipes Creek Trail, and camping is available at Logan Park Campground. Hiking along the Meadow Ridge Trail is perfect fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Happy's Inn and Resort is a good spot to camp. Around Upper Thompson Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and August on the other hand       is the driest. During the warm days of summer here at Upper Thompson Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Upper Thompson Lake descend into the 10's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Slimmer Creek Trail, and hey, Davis Creek is a splendid local stream.
