     Upper Snyder Lake is a beautiful lake in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls is a good spot to spend a night or two, and perfect hiking is available along the Avalanche Trail. Be careful coming to the Lewis Range, you might not ever wanna return home again. A pleasant trip to Avalanche Basin is a glorious way to spend an afternoon; you can go for a hike on the Gunsight Pass Trail.
 
   The annual precipitation here at Upper Snyder Lake is about average; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is April. It's a tremendous idea to stop at Hidden Creek, it's close to Upper Snyder Lake. A perfect location to have a look at in the neighborhood of Upper Snyder Lake is Comeau Pass; going for a hike on the Snyder Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure.

               campground, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Avalanche Lake is just a very short distance away. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flathead River - Middle Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Avalanche Campground is a magnificent place to camp. That right there is a load of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. Akaiyan Falls is an inspiring spot to stop by during your stay, and if you've had enough of Upper Snyder Lake, Snyder Lake is nearby.
So much enjoyable stuff to do at Upper Snyder Lake, so little time. At Upper Snyder Lake you can spot Mount Brown, and the sights at Glacier National Park will blow your mind. Summertime highs at Upper Snyder Lake usually tend to be in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Upper Snyder Lake sink into the 10's.

Fabulously beautiful area, dense grizzly population and zero people.  Not too hard to get to crossing Flattop on bits of an obsolete trail from Fifty Mountain, then skirt along the open hills sides near Trapper Peak.  One scary steep hardpan ravine must be crossed where a slip would send you plunging 1000 feet down to Lake Nahsukin.  An axe would be helpful, otherwise just run real fast so your momentum will carry you to good footing on the far side....
