Upper Lake is pretty dried out commonly; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Jellystone RV Park, and nearby you discover the Iris Point Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a gorgeous day you get a sight of Mosquito Peak from Upper Lake, and dry warm beds await you at       Hubbards Ponderosa Lodge. What would winter be without some skiing at Montana Snowbowl, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the BLue Mountain Nature Trail NRT. Gotta ski! Marshall Mountain is a brilliant place to do that; Upper Lake is not far at all from Missoula. If you came for an overnight stay St Mary's Motel is a perfect spot to camp, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Blue Mountain Equestrian and Hiking Trail. Big                  Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mill Creek. Be careful coming to Upper Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Not far from Upper Lake you get some delightful water scenery at Upper Twin Lake Dam; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Missoula-Riverside, Mt is a good choice. For the period of the warm months here at Upper Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's.
