You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Lewis Range has to offer. Not much rain falls here at Upper Kintla Lake; most of the snow falls through December; the driest month of the year is April. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Lewis Range rocks! On a delightful day at Upper Kintla Lake you can take a hike along the Boulder Pass Trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Numa Lake. Upper

| | Kintla Lake is a beautiful lake in the Lewis Range. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Mountain if you're here, and there's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle Fork for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Bowman Creek Campground, and close by you hit upon the Akokala Lake Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
