The beauty of Upper Holter Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is located in the wonderful Big Belt Mountains. Going for a hike on the Backside Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and Stony Point is clearly visible from Upper Holter Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great place in close proximity to Upper Holter Lake is American Bar; you can go for a hike on the Prospect Shafts Trail.
