Upper Holter Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Upper Holter Lake there are plenty of folks from Helena, and camping at Coulter Campground is always a magnificent experience. At Upper Holter Lake you don’t see much precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Upper Holter Lake. During the moonlight hours it's typically

| | in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Upper Holter Lake are in the 10's. Go for a hike on the 1906 Trail, and American Bar is a great site to spend some time. So many cool things to do at Upper Holter Lake, so little time. There's delightful hiking along the Prospect Shafts Trail, and paddling on Dearborn River is so much fun.

absolutely must go for the Big Belt Mountains. The view of wonderful Stony Point near Upper Holter Lake is brilliant; if you need a place to stay Quality Inn Airport is a great choice. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to
do in the Big Belt Mountains. A day on the slopes of Great Divide is just what you need, and Wingate by Wyndham - Helena is a tremendous place to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Departure Point
Campground, and some close by water includes Ming Creek. Don't leave Upper Holter Lake without first going for a hike along the Backside Trail; you must beyond doubt take a look at striking Black Sandy Beach if you're here.
