Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Upper Fishtrap Lake. Don't leave Upper Fishtrap Lake without first going for a hike along the West Fork Fishtrap Trail, and everyone loves Jefferson Meadows. High temperatures at Upper Fishtrap Lake throughout the summer are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Thompson River Mount Headley Trail; there are some great whitewater spots on Vermilion River.
This lake is located
in the wonderful Cabinet Mountains. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Upper Fishtrap Lake; most of the snow falls throughout January, and the driest of the months is July. Willow Creek Campground is a splendid local campground, and why not stop by close by Cool Creek if you're here at Upper Fishtrap Lake.
