    It's always fun to stop by Twin Lakes. This place, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Going for a hike along the Bozeman Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Heart Lake is a lake around here. Twin Lakes is mostly a relatively dry site; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.  
   So much entertaining stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. The snow is brilliant at Red Lodge Mountain, and get drenched paddling on Stillwater River.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Pine Grove Campground is a magnificent site to camp, and Fishtail Butte is painless to spot from Twin Lakes. If the weather is delightful here at Twin Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and float down the
 
               rapids of Rosebud Creek - West in a kayak. So much entertaining stuff to do at Twin Lakes, so little time. Getting to East Fishtail Creek from Twin Lakes is painless, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Black Butte Trail.
Twin Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Why not camp at Emerald Lake Campground since you're here at Twin Lakes; in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Island Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful.
At Twin Lakes through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Twin Lakes tend to be in the 10's.
