Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range. Lower Twin Lakes Dam is a beautiful place close to Twin Lakes; a pleasant close by hotel is Best Western Hamilton Inn. And if that's not enough there's a load more cool things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Poverty Slide is an interesting spot to visit while at Twin Lakes; if you come at the       right time of year, Big Sand Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is perfect here at Twin Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Ward Mountain Trail, and Bear Creek Pass Campground is a great local campground. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are really bountiful here at Twin Lakes. Why not camp at Schumaker Campground since you're here at Twin Lakes, and there are some good whitewater spots on White Sand Creek.                  This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. Bear Creek Pass is a wonderful spot to explore close by, and the skiing at Lost Trail is magnificent. The amount of rain that falls at Twin Lakes is close to the national average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Twin Lakes through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
