At Twin Lakes you can distinguish Sphinx Mountain, and Mulherin Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Twin Lakes is pretty waterless mostly; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Twin
Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Yankee Jim Campground and Picnic Area; there are fine locations to discover along the Sportsman Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side visit to Cottonwood Creek, and in the event that
you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellowstone River.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Twin Lakes. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the
50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Twin Lakes through the winter frequently fall into the 10's.
