    If you are in this part of Montana make sure to pay a visit to Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. The Sportsman Lake Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close to Twin Lakes, and Quaking Ash Hollow is a good site to spend some time. There are other locations here than Twin Lakes, for example Yankee Jim Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mulherin Creek.
There is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood
 
   of Twin Lakes called the Fawn Pass Trail; why not camp at Carbella Campground if you're here at Twin Lakes. During the summer at Twin Lakes highs are commonly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Twin Lakes night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. If you need a place to stay Best Western Mammoth Hot Springs is a great choice, and Green  
               Lake is a wonderful lake close by.
At Twin Lakes you don’t see much rain; May is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Yankee Jim Campground and Picnic Area, and if you come at the right time of year, Yellowstone River offers some delightful whitewater. So many entertaining things to do here at Twin Lakes, too wonderful to be true. At Twin Lakes you can make out Sphinx Mountain, and Cinnabar Basin is a great site to check out.
Cottonwood Creek is near Twin Lakes and is always a pleasure to take a look at, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Yellowstone Park North Travelodge.
