All through the summer here at Tub Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and the night is a bit colder of course, commonly in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Tub Lake. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Pioneer Mountains. There's tremendous hiking along the Driveway Trail, and the sight of Alturas Number       Two Mountain is beautiful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Tub Lake; Gold Creek Trail is a wonderful local trail, and if you've had enough of Tub Lake, Twin Lakes is close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Pioneer Mountains. At Tub Lake you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Pioneer Mountains.                  You could also take a look at Pear Lake if you're here at Tub Lake; it's close by; Tub Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Mono Creek Campground is a nice location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Tub Lake without first going for a hike along the Rhubarb Patch Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Dillon. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Tub Lake has to offer.
