Montana has many beautiful lakes and Trout Lake is one of them. Trout Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Trout Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Trout Lake tend to be in the 10's. If you came for an overnight stay Hicks Park Campground is a perfect location

| | to camp; there are splendid sites to discover along the Poacher Trail.
Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more cool things to do here in the Absaroka Range. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling right next door to Trout Lake is Boulder River, and don't leave Trout Lake without first going for a hike along the Buffalo Plateau Trail. here. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Hells Canyon Campground while you're here at Trout Lake, and Livingston Super 8 Motel is a wonderful spot to get some rest.
You absolutely must go for Trout Lake. Trout Lake is
mostly a reasonably arid place; through May this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
