     This lake is so wonderful. Rogers Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and one of the governing traits of the surroundings of Trout Lake is Rogers Peak. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is bountiful here in the Lewis Range. Float down the rapids of Flathead River - Middle Fork in a kayak, and don't miss out on a visit to Glacier National Park if you're here.
Summertime highs at Trout Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours
 
   of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Trout Lake are in the 0's. Trout Lake is pretty dried up regularly; December is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month is April. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Trout Lake. Near Trout Lake you discover the Mount Brown Lookout Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and Sprague Creek Campground  
               is a fine campground nearby.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Lewis Range. On a perfect day at Trout Lake you can take a hike along the Camas Creek Trail, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls is a perfect choice. Trout Lake is a beautiful lake in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - Middle Fork offers some magnificent whitewater; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Snyder Ridge Trail.
While you're here at Trout Lake, you could also stop by lovely Arrow Lake, and you can stay the night at Stanton Creek Lodge.

Gyrfalcon Lake
Fabulously beautiful area, dense grizzly population and zero people.  Not too hard to get to crossing Flattop on bits of an obsolete trail from Fifty Mountain, then skirt along the open hills sides near Trapper Peak.  One scary steep hardpan ravine must be crossed where a slip would send you plunging 1000 feet down to Lake Nahsukin.  An axe would be helpful, otherwise just run real fast so your momentum will carry you to good footing on the far side....

This campground has everything the guest is looking for while visiting the Flathead Valley area and Glacier National Park. It has pull thru RV sites, sleeping cabins and a tent area. The fishermen in your group will love the quiet walk to the adjoining Flathead River to catch 'the big one'. This campground is 8 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park and 1 mile east of Hungry Horse. There are numerous hiking areas, wilderness spots and water fun near this campground including Hungry Horse Reservoir, Flathead Lake, the Flathead River system and the many outdoor activities which are associated with water and mountain fun. You will appreciate the clean restrooms and attention to the grounds which the owners take pride in throughout the season. Canyon RV Campground & Cabins is open from May 1 to September 30 each year.
