The top of Jericho Mountain is easily observed from Travis Reservoir; a magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel. Travis Reservoir is typically a quite dried out site; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summertime at Travis Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the       80's with night lows in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Travis Reservoir. The skiing at Great Divide is fine; Bullion Parks is right here at Travis Reservoir. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Travis Reservoir has to offer. Stay the night at MacDonald Pass Campground; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Bear Gulch Trail. Travis Reservoir                  is a place with many visitors from Helena, and going for a hike on the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Jorgenson Inn and Suite is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Monitor Creek flows through this area, and Travis Reservoir is a magnificent location to camp, Cromwell Dixon Campground is a magnificent location.
