    If you are in Lewis and Clark county it's always a good idea to stop by Travis Reservoir. Throughout the summer highs here at Travis Reservoir reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Travis Reservoir. Lots of people from Helena come to Travis Reservoir; why not take a refreshing hike along the Bear Gulch Trail. This lake is so wonderful.  
   You're probably interested in lakes, Scott Reservoir is one of those close by, and Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel is a splendid spot to get some rest.
Why not camp at MacDonald Pass Campground since you're here at Travis Reservoir; on a great day you can go to Sure Thing Swamps, a swamp in close proximity to Travis Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Jorgenson Inn and Suite is a good place to spend a night or two. A good spot to camp here at Travis
 
               Reservoir is Cromwell Dixon Campground, and you ought to beyond doubt dedicate some time to Bullion Parks if you're here at Travis Reservoir.
And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do close to Travis Reservoir. Looking for some flowing water? Try Monitor Creek, and needless to say, this is a wonderful region for folks who like lakes, Cliff Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. At Travis Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is May while July is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Great Divide is nice, and do take a hike on the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail.
Jericho Mountain is pretty and can be distinguished from Travis Reservoir, and Travis Reservoir is right by the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail.
