    Trapper Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Not much rainfall falls here at Trapper Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Little West Fork Campground is a great campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Trapper Peak Trail is always a glorious adventure. While you're here at Trapper Lake, you could also visit beautiful Chaffin Lake; the snow is tremendous  
   at Lost Trail.
Trapper Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Boulder Creek Campground is a good place to camp nearby; wonderful hiking is available along the Castle Rock Trail. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do close to Trapper Lake. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Hamilton Inn is a tremendous choice. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. Do have a look at Mink Lake in
 
               the vicinity of Trapper Lake, it's a pretty lake, and you can go for a hike on the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail.
For the period of the summertime months at Trapper Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and overnight lows at Trapper Lake through the wintertime regularly sink into the 10's. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range.

Tag Alder Lake

I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore. Fishing is best in late spring using small spinners or powerbait....
