For the period of the summer months highs here at Timberline Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Timberline Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area in the neighborhood of Timberline Lake has to offer. If you need a place to stay       Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a nice choice, and Timberline Lake is right by the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. So much fun stuff in the Absaroka Range, just astonishing. Silver Run Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Calamity Falls is a brilliant local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Rosebud Creek - East close to Timberline Lake, and you can stay the night at Bots Sots Campground. And that's not everything there is                  to do here in the Absaroka Range. A splendid place for whitewater paddling close to Timberline Lake is Rock Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Timberline Lake has to offer, you can camp at Nelson Campground. While you're here at Timberline Lake, you could also pop by beautiful Lake Gertrude; you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. After a long day outdoors Yodeler Motel is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Beauty Lake Trail is tremendous fun. The amount of rainfall that falls at Timberline Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful.
