In Montana there are many beautiful lakes, Thornberg Lake is one of them. Hiking along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail is delightful fun; good skiing awaits you at Big Mountain. Thornberg Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Whitefish RV Park is a magnificent place to camp nearby; if you're a golfer then a nice close by course is Whitefish Lake Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Thornberg Lake is a location with many visitors from Kalispell; there's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Going for a hike along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; a lake nearby is Spencer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. At Thornberg Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's while nighttime
lows are ordinarily in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Thornberg Lake. After a long day outdoors Kandahar Lodge is a delightful site to spend a night or
two, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Micho Trail. Les Mason Campground is a good campground nearby, and Blacktail Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff.
