This is a perfect area for people who like lakes. Dollar Lake is a lake nearby, and Big Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. Just can't get enough of Thornberg Lake. Golf can be played at Whitefish Lake Golf Club. If you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - Middle Fork offers some great whitewater; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Blacktail Mountain. Woods Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Kristianna Mountain Homes is a great spot to spend a night or two, and good hiking is available along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail. It is very dried
out here at Thornberg Lake generally; most of the rain falls during June while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. But wait, there's more to do next to Thornberg Lake. Float down the rapids of Stillwater River in a kayak; you'll meet a lot of people from Kalispell here.
