Thompson Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The slopes of Big Sky are so inviting noone can resist, and dry warm beds await you at Arrowhead. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Thompson Lake. There's so much to do here at Thompson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Castle Rock Inn is a glorious place for that, and if you need a site to stay Beaverhead is a splendid choice. | | right next door to Thompson Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gallatin River. Thompson Lake is a location that is quite dried up commonly; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Wapiti Creek Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail near Thompson Lake called the Lightning Creek Trail, and if you came to camp Elkhorn is a delightful spot to do that.
High temperatures at Thompson Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Thompson Lake are in
the 10's. On a fine day at Thompson Lake you can take a hike along the Eldridge Trail, and lakes are such calm spots, why not explore Summit Lake. If you're visiting Thompson Lake from Bozeman, you won't be the only one, and don’t forget to pop by Bear Basin while you're here at Thompson Lake.
