Hiking is a popular thing to do around Tamarack Lake; Ward Mountain Trail is a great local trail; a wonderful location to camp here at Tamarack Lake is Little West Fork Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Tamarack Lake. Don't       leave Tamarack Lake without first going for a hike along the Trapper Peak Trail, and the scenery at Tamarack Lake Dam is striking. At Tamarack Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Tamarack Lake through the wintertime frequently descend into the 10's. Tamarack Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range. Having a                  magnificent time in the Bitterroot Range is simple. A lake nearby is Hart Lake; Lost Trail has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Hamilton Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest, and camping is available at Boulder Creek Campground. It is very dried up here at Tamarack Lake mostly; most of the rain falls throughout May, and July is when it's the driest.
