There is a wonderful hiking trail in the neighborhood                  of Tamarack Lake called the Alpine Trail. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Tamarack Lake reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Tamarack Lake dip into the 10's. Tamarack Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. Jessup Mill Pond Dam is not far at all from Tamarack Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Tamarack Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Blaine Resort Campground. This lake is so wonderful. The Doris Creek Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close to Tamarack Lake, and Swan River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. Tamarack Lake gets very little precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
