Go to Sylvan Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Throughout the summer at Sylvan Lake highs are frequently in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Sylvan Lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Sylvan Lake. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Vermilion River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sylvan Lake has to offer, you can camp at Willow

Sylvan Lake, it's a striking lake; Seven Point Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Sylvan Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Cabinet Mountains. There's so much to do here at Sylvan Lake that you need to camp here for
a while, Thompson Falls Campground is a good location for that, and good hiking is available along the Slide Rock Mountain Trail.
