If you need a place to stay Days Inn And Suites Lolo is a great choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Kootenai Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. It is very dehydrated here at Sweeney Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is May, and October is when it's the driest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sweeney Lake. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.       Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Sweeney Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Yeah, come up here to the Bitterroot Range for a perfect time. Lakes? Sure, Bass Lake is close by; a brilliant close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Hamilton. This lake is so wonderful. Mills Lake is a great lake close to Sweeney Lake. The Saint Mary Peak Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Sweeney Lake. There's                  so much to do here at Sweeney Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fort Fizzle Campground is a great place for that. Do explore Bass Lake Dam if you're here at Sweeney Lake, and if you came to camp Charles Waters Memorial Campground is a fine site to do that. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Sweeney Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Brushy Fork, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Sweeney Ridge Trail. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Bitterroot Range will keep you coming back many times.
