A brilliant close by hotel is Super 8 Motel Big Timber. Lakes are brilliant; Companion Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Swamp Lake. Swamp Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Don't leave Swamp Lake without first going for a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail; nearby Colter Pass is a great site to go. A normal amount of rain falls here at Swamp Lake; during June this area sees       the most rain; the driest month is October. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Absaroka Range. Camping at Chief Joseph Campground is always a magnificent experience; whitewater paddling is nice on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Just can't get enough of Swamp Lake. There's perfect hiking along the North Crandall Trail, and if you want to check out some attention-grabbing stuff, check out Alp Rock. All year is a brilliant time in the                  Absaroka Range if you love the outdoors. Get covered with water paddling on Rosebud Creek - West, and Swamp Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Colter Campground is a great local campground. During the warm months at Swamp Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Swamp Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Dick Lake, and some nearby water includes Fisher Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
