A brilliant site to stop at in close proximity to Lake Surrender is Rabbit Gulch; if you come at the right time of year, Boulder River offers some great whitewater. Through the warm days of summer here at Lake Surrender, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake       Surrender are in the 10's. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Absaroka Range. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Stillwater River, and from Lake Surrender you acquire a great panorama of Tumble Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake Surrender. Don't leave Lake Surrender without first going for a hike along the Republic Trail; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Big Timber. Good                  hiking is available along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail, and since you're here, you could also stop by delightful Dryad Lake. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Lake Surrender is a great place to visit for more than one day, Chippy Park Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Lodgepole Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Woodbine Campground is a great campground nearby, and you'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Cimmerian Lake.
