You truly must have a thing about the Absaroka Range. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a delightful location to spend a night or two. So much exciting stuff to do here at Sundown Lake, too tremendous to be true. Sundown Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hells Canyon Campground is a great local campground, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Buffalo Plateau Trail. | | Lake is Pinnacle Mountain; Columbine Pass is also a tremendous location to explore. A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Sundown Lake is Boulder River, and hiking along the Republic Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Thunderer Cutoff Trail, needless to say you could also explore Pentad Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Park Campground, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Favonius Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. At Sundown Lake during the summer months highs
are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Sundown Lake.
