There's whitewater on Sunday Creek for all you adrenaline people, and there's fine hiking along the Mount Marston National Recreation Trail. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Sunday Lakes. You can run the rapids of Stillwater River close to Sunday Lakes, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Elk Mountain National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sunday Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, South Campground is a great place for that,
and Point of Rocks is something you shouldn't miss if you're here. During the days of summer highs here at Sunday Lakes get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Sunday Lakes tend to be in the 10's.

 | This is a wonderful place to go hiking, It is a tough 7.5 miles uphill. I took my girlfriend hiking on this trail and we experienced a lush old growth forest, then we journeyed onto the mountain, where most of it was dry, but every once in awhile we ran into a majestic stream, with lush plant life growing around them, the view of lincoln county from on the ridge was amazing, the local Dicky Lake, was as blue as ever, and your eyes were allowed to stretch for miles upon open wilderness. Make sure to bring some food, its an energy waster, and some pepper spray!(mace) we did not encoutner any animal life except for insects and birds, but it is a Grizzly bear region.... |
