Summit Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The Eldridge Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Summit Lake. Lakes? Sure, Chilled Lakes is in close proximity. There's so much to do here at Summit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elkhorn is a brilliant place for that, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Bozeman. Having a good time at Summit Lake is simple. Get soaked paddling on Gallatin River; there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Lightning Creek Trail. Throughout the summer months highs here at Summit Lake reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Moonlight Basin is rather near.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Arrowhead, and a day on the slopes of Big Sky is just what you need. You get a great vista of Gallatin Peak from Summit Lake, and there are other locations here than Summit Lake, for example Mirror Lake.
A visit to Bear Basin revives the soul.
