You absolutely should like the Lewis Range. Striped Elk Lake is not the only place nearby, Lake Isabel is a nearby lake; Glacier National Park is a magnificent local destination. The Park Creek Trail is a good                  hiking trail close to Striped Elk Lake, and a spree to Rotunda Cirque revitalizes the spirit. Striped Elk Lake is located in the Lewis Range. The annual precipitation here at Striped Elk Lake is about average; most of the snow falls through December while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So many exciting things to do here at Striped Elk Lake, too nice to be true. Devil Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground, as expected you could also check out Nyack Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do in the Lewis Range.
