Straight Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Near Straight Lake you discover the Trout Creek Stock Driveway which is a tremendous hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Straight Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ruby Creek Campground is a tremendous location for that. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Going for a hike on the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway is always a glorious adventure; paddling on Kelly

At Straight Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is generally the driest month. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Go for a hike on the Colgate Licks Nature National Recreation Trail; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Clark Fork. Some close by water includes Steep Creek. Straight Lake has to offer, you can camp at Clearwater Crossing Campground.
High temperatures at Straight Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime
the highs are typically in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Straight Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Straight Lake. Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a magnificent spot to get some rest.
