So many entertaining things to do here in the Cabinet Mountains, too splendid to be true. Man, is there a lot of amusing things to do in the Cabinet Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Moose Peak Trail, and Benson Peak is clearly visible from Stony Lake. All through the warm months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Stony Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs       all through the winter are mostly in the 20's while Stony Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Lakes? Sure, Image Lake is in the neighborhood; camping at Fishtrap Campground is always a delightful experience. The amount of rainfall that falls at Stony Lake is close to the national average; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Get covered with water paddling on Vermilion                  River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Terrace Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the West Fork Fishtrap Trail, and if you came to camp Willow Creek Campground is a glorious site to do that. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Stony Lake.
