Summertime at Stone Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; the nighttime is quite colder of course, mostly in the 30's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Stone Lakes. This lake is located in the wonderful Pioneer Mountains. Not much rainfall falls here at Stone Lakes; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is February.       Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Pioneer Mountains. Hiking along the Grassy Lake Trail is wonderful fun; from Stone Lakes you obtain a glorious view of Shaw Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Stone Lakes you can take a hike along the Hiline Trail, unsurprisingly you could also take a look at Bobcat Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all. Stone Lakes is a good site to visit for more than one day, Fishtrap Campground is a good                  site to camp nearby, and Stone Lakes is not the only place nearby, Grassy Lake is a nearby lake. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are in fact plentiful here at Stone Lakes. Discovery Ski is a glorious local ski area.
